We are thrilled to share some exciting news with you—we have officially rebranded!

As October came and went, we were once again unable to acquire ParanormalSocieties.com. Faced with this recurring challenge, we realized it was time to make a pivotal decision:

Stay as ParanormalSocieties.org, continuing to put critical developments on hold for yet another year in the hopes of acquiring the domain in 2025.
Embrace change, rebrand, and eliminate the roadblocks, allowing us to focus fully on moving this project forward without delay.

After careful consideration, we chose option #2. It was time to stop waiting, take action, and bring our vision into the future.

After several weeks of thoughtful planning and preparation, we are proud to announce that we officially rebranded to Paranormal Domain in November!

This transformation represents much more than just a name change. It’s a commitment to continue building on the foundation we’ve established, to expand our reach, and to deliver on the original goals we set for this project.

We’re incredibly excited about this next chapter and can’t wait to show you all the new developments in store.

During this event, we will be making important announcements and answering your questions. We'll be discussing both current and future projects with ParanormalSocieties.

The live event is expected to last approximately 30 minutes.

Please have your questions ready to enter into the comments of the live video. Although questions may be asked at any time, they will be answered after we have shared our announcements and discussed our future and current site projects.

We've been working on this site update for a few months now and are extremely excited to finally show it to you.

The site updates are as follows:

Full & Complete Mobile Optimization.
- We have added optimization for website viewing on different screen sizes to ensure everything displays properly and neatly. When accessing the site on a mobile phone you will now have a slide-out navigation menu that appears from the left when a button is tapped, with the main content of the site being front and center
Navigation Menu
- The navigation menu now appears on the left of the screen. On desktop and laptop computers the navigation menu will always remain in view. When on a mobile phone there will now be a button that you have to tap to make the navigation menu appear and disappear from the left.
News Feed
- The home page blog feed has been replaced with a news feed. Instead of only seeing blog posts, you will now see the latest added of the following things. Blog Post, Stories, and Paranormal Locations, Events.
Ads
- Latest events will no longer appear on the right sidebar on the homepage. This has been replaced with ads. Ads that we control. You will now be able to fill out a form to advertise with us. We have also turned the area that is currently just below the main links of the site into ad space. Sidebar ads will ONLY be displayed on the homepage. Ads in the aforementioned space will appear on every page. This will contain both ads for ParanormalSocieties and ads that have been submitted to us. We've already been getting advertising requests. We figured we should probably get on that.
Articles
- That's right! The education tab is now fully active, containing articles written by both us and a wide variety of specialists in the field, alphabetized by title in a glossary format. We have also added a link to the "Submit" link so that registered users see where you will be able to submit articles written by YOU for consideration in being in our articles library.
Famous Case Files
- This is a feature that we thought of last year that we are just announcing now. Most know that there are hundreds of famous paranormal cases, many dating back centuries ago, and countless that have even been made into movies. Through immense research, and with a similar format to the articles feature, we're adding one by one the true story behind as many of these as we can.
Account Settings
- Account settings take on a slightly different look. No point in saying what it will look like. You can just see it when you log in.
Email Notifications
- Those with public accounts that have been approved can now receive email notifications when a service request is submitted requesting one that you provide in the areas that you provide it. These are not turned on automatically. You will have to go into your account and activate it.
Account Deletion
- We'd hate to see you go, but if you so desire, you can now remove your account.

There are a few other things, but you'd probably never notice those. They're just background things....mostly security enhancements.

These articles will consist of very specific topics that the individual is very experienced and knowledgeable about. For example, specific pieces of equipment, psychic abilities, types of hauntings, different types of UFOs, etc. If interested, email info@paranormalsocieties.org with the topic you would like to write about and how much knowledge and experience you have with said topic. Due credit will be given to each article.

We added account types to allow those not involved in the paranormal field to register and take advantage of certain features. We also launched Stories, where everyone can share their paranormal experiences with others. We also launched a database or paranormal locations, also allowing those with an account to add locations to our directory. This feature allows those will an account to create any events having to do with the paranormal. Those events will then be displayed for the world to see. During this month of March, we are doing some cleanup around the site and going through any bugs that need to be fixed. Update For Week of November 14, 2022Posted By Josh Vande Wettering, November 14 2022 10:28 PM in Site UpdatesHello, all. I've been so focused on content that I've forgotten to post an update here. So first, The login feature is now fully up and running, as well as the ability to update all things in your account. There are more things to update in your account under account settings than what is allowed to be set right away during registration. That being said, since account settings are now fully up and running, I will be working on the public directory for the next two weeks. That's what I'm estimating how long it will take. Could be less....we will see. You may also notice things around the website looking differently than usual if you've been an active user. This is because in addition to the directory, I'm also working on cleaning up the look of the site so that everything will look spectacular. Certain things will move to different places for better organization. All links WILL still work and you will still be able to get in and manage your account if your account has been approved.

Logging In Is So Close!!!!Posted By Josh Vande Wettering, November 4 2022 11:40 PM in Site UpdatesThis week we've been working hard on the log in process. We first created the feature to reset your password. This is because we slightly changed the password encryption, so those who created an account before....October 12th I think it was, will need to reset your password. This wouldn't make sense unless you a programmer, but trust me. If you try to log in with that password it will not work. You can totally set the same password as you currently have, the system just needs to encrypt it in a different way. Anyway, the login feature is set to go. Now we are working on allowing users to update their info and account settings as well as creating the profile look for registrants/listers, then it's onto the directory! Please note that none of the things mentioned are actually live yet. Some of them are already done and just waiting to be uploaded, the rest still have to be created. Stay tuned!

End Of The Week Content UpdatePosted By Josh Vande Wettering, October 29 2022 12:50 PM in Site UpdatesIf we're being honest, I haven't had a whole lot of time this week to work on paranormalsocieties.org due to unforeseen personal reasons. I have had time to sit down for maybe an hour this week to work on stuff. That being said, I expect to have the password reset feature ready sometime today, but logging in and changing account settings won't be available until this coming week. I do expect to have more time this upcoming week.

Update On Features ComingPosted By Josh Vande Wettering, October 21 2022 11:00 PM in Site UpdatesThis week we focused on getting the blog system running here on the home page. This blog system will also appear on the home page of the user login portion of the website. An ACTUAL page solely dedicated to the blog will be made to, but we're currently deciding if we want this to be it's own tab, or under the "Education" tab. Because the blog will feature posts about site updates as well, we're leaning towards it's own tab. This upcoming week we will be focusing solely on the login system. If all goes well, we should have users able to log in and manage their accounts by the end of the week.

While we do have some work to do on it yet, the blog system is one of the things releasing this week.
